Privacy
PlaySoloQuiz collects only what the game needs to work.
What we store
- A random ID stored on your device (technical cookie) to keep your progress: XP, streak, records, mastered countries.
- Your games and scores (needed for leaderboards) and a display name ("Player-1234" by default, or the one you choose).
- If you create an account: a username and a password stored as a hash (never in clear text). No email, no real name.
- Your country (a 2-letter code supplied by our host, never a precise location) for the country leaderboard.
- Where your visit came from (for example "youtube" or "tiktok" and the Short number) so we know which content brings players.
What we don't do
- No selling of your data. Audience statistics (Google Analytics, with anonymised IP) and advertising (Google AdSense) only run if you accept them in the consent banner; change your choice any time with the "Privacy choices" link in the footer.
- Your IP address is not stored; a salted fingerprint that changes daily is used only to limit abuse for a few minutes.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can view and delete all your data from your profile ("Export" and "Delete my account" buttons), or write to contact@playsoloquiz.com. Legal basis: providing the service you asked for, and legitimate interest (security, anonymous statistics). Data is kept while your profile exists and deleted on request.
